INTRODUCTION:

Francesco Vacca was a farmer and a self-thought artist from Barbaresco, a small village in the north-west of Italy. In 2013 I have been asked to create a small book to commemorate the centenary of his birth.

The task was to collect interviews, both from the family and from Francesco’s friends, old material regarding his production as artist and old private pictures.I also followed the printing process with the print house L’Artigiana, located in Alba.
